EMILY CROPPER - OWNER OF MARMALADE SKY MOTION PICTURES

Emily has been described as a savvy business woman who pays close attention to detail. When a difficult or unique project arises, she is sought as the person who will make it happen. These characteristics have been essential to her success in radio, television, and film, and she proudly stands behind them as owner of Marmalade Sky Motion Pictures.
Emily has worked in several facets of the film and television industry. Recently she was hired by the Jack Morton Worldwide London to Line Produce a short doc/promo for Nokia during SXSW 2011. The piece includes interviews from well-respected interactive companies, musicians, and filmmakers.
She was the 1st Assistant Director for the South Austin Pictures feature film God Thinks You’re a Loser. This film received awards for Best Director and Best Writer at the 2010 Atlanta Horror Film Festival.
Emily’s directorial debut was the short documentary Mastodon Phenomenon, an educational video for a leading Real Estate Investment Trust in connection with a major archaeological discovery that appeared in the Emmy Award-winning, Austin-based PBS series Downtown (courtesy of Action Figure).
Her producing debut was for the feature film, The Duo! The Documented Adventures of the Terrific Two.She supervised all artistic and financial components of film production including oversight of 100 cast and crew and 60 shooting locations. The Duo screened at three major festivals: THE AUSTIN FILM FESTIVAL, THE METHOD FEST, and THE SAN DIEGO COMIC CONVENTION. She also negotiated a distribution deal with Vanguard International Cinema and now The Duo is currently available at NETFLIX, VIDEO UNIVERSE, BLOCKBUSTER.COM, AMAZON.COM, and HOLLYWOOD VIDEO.
Other television and film credits include Talent Coordinator for Blaze TV Live SXSW aired on Direct TV, production work on American Idol, Superbowl XXXVIII for MTV, While You Were Out (TLC), American Inventor, Segment Producer for the The Republic of Texas Biker Rally, and Associate Producer for the feature film She Likes Me.
Emily has worked closely with Atomic Picnic Events on several successful events in the live music capitol of the world, Austin, Tx. She was the Production Manager for The Revival Fest with musicians such as Jerry Lee Lewis, Lee Rocker from the Stray Cats, Wanda Jackson, and Asleep at the Wheel. As Floor Manager for the SXSW Yahoo Music Showcase she has worked with musicians such as Katy Perry, The Ting Tangs, and Amy Winehouse. During SXSW 2010 she Stage Managed a three-day music event called Carniville featuring acts such as Major Lazer, Diplo, and Yacht.
